Alet Gardner

Hi there! I am an South African expat, living in the lovely Kent countryside in the UK.
I love everything meaningful and beautiful - so I try my hand at photography, painting, embroidery, needlework, cooking and writing.

My inspiration for all of this: the people that I love,
and the love that God has for me.

This unique, handmade series 13 apron of yours would like to remind you of the wonderful example of servanthood that Jesus set in John 13.

Like Him, you should always remember that you are a daughter of the King, and still sometimes don an apron to serve less deserving people. 1 Corithians 13 describes how this love works and Philippians 4:13 reminds you that it is possible to love this way.

A set of serviettes to go with the very red Victorian dining room in the home we rented.  And then we moved to The Coach House and the serviettes are crying out to be finished - maybe as a gift to someone special or an heirloom to one of my daughters?

Always more ideas and inspiration than being able to do!

I oftern agree with this great artist:

Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish.

A field of daffodils or a minefield?

I am not a victim of my circumstances - I can choose to contribute to those important relationships with courtesy and love, with kindness and patience, with acceptance and forgiveness.

When everyting goes wrong

I was reminded of the priests standing in the middle of the Jordan with the ark of the covenant when I read in Psalm 114 how the sea flees and the river Jordan turns back, the earth trembles at the presence of the Lord, the rock turns into a pool of water and the flint into a fountain of waters.
